I switched from AOL to Comcast Highspeed and was told that AOL could be slowing down my computer.How can I remove it totally from my computer? (Dell Demension 2400 XP Home) WINDOWS XP AOL 9.1 Periodically when I switch screennames and try to check mail in AOL 9.1 my computer reboots. I installed XOFT Spyware removal and it seemed to help for awhil. i downloaded aol 9.1 in the uk on my dimension 9200 and since then about 2 weeks i have been unable to sign on to aol. If  i try to sign on i get.aol software has stopped working please cl. windows me and aol. hi outthere.i'm new to computers-just ordered 4100series dell on 9/20/00,but read the epinions.com about 4100.somebody is saying that windows me isn't compatible with aol and i got 1 year of prepaid aol service.also did dell fix their fan problem and what version of bios should i be getting? I set up my new computer and aol was installed already. When I put in four user accounts, all 4 bring up my aol e-mail. How do i get each user to have a separate email box? AOL's mail system is just this side of insane. Not only does it read inside member emails for links that AOL doesn't like, but --- as we've reported before--- if AOL members get a little lazy and block a newsletter like this one, instead of unsubscribing, AOL keeps track of the blocks. Just after I downloaded AIM 5.9, I restarted my computer and got an error message that Windows could not load and something about looping. I got the same message the. Anyone have trouble installing AOL Messenger? Inspiron 6000 Running XP Media edition. Tried downloading the messger (both current version and past version). I'm able to install no problem. BUt when i try to login with my user, it will hang at 'Step1: connecting'. Then it hangs until i kill it. AOL TCP/IP connection I have been having a problem with AOL. I am using a cable modem hooked up to a dell router. I can connect to Internet Explorer but when I try to connect to AOL 9.0 using the broadband connection it gets stuck on the second step and just stays there.
